05-05-14                                         CMFC U14S TOUR OF BOURNEMOUTH

THE TEAM:-  Harry(capt),Jamie,Dom,George D,Cookie,Mehmet,Cam,Adam,and guest players Herbie,Ben C,and Ben H.
All games were played over 32mins.......
03-05-14   v  Branksome ( local 1st div winners)   result   L 5-0
Against a team full of giants Cumnor really stood no chance and battled well but fell to their first defeat of the t'ment.
03-05-14  v Cheshunt ( another highly ranked team and the final event winners) After keeping the score to 0-0 at half-time eventually pressure told and Cumnor lost  2 goals to 0.
03-05-14   v  Woking Cougars (with half the town supporting the various teams they had brought and yet another league winner) A very tough match BUT Cumnor did manage to score their first goal of the t'ment(CAM) but lost 6-1.
04-05-14  v Kings Park ( local B league winners) Cumnor should count themselves unlucky not to get something from this game and had much the better of the first half but in the endlost by 1 goal to 0.
04-05-14  v  Bookham (mid table team..... maybe a chance!!!!) Cumnor took an early lead(DOM) and were unlucky not to go in at half-time leading but ADAM gets pushed over and they equaliser,(apparently this is OK!!!!)after then going behind in the second half Cumnor get a much deserved equaliser in the last minute when a long ball over the top from HARRY was finished off beautifully by DOM,much celebrating was then had......OUR FIRST POINT.....YES!!!!!!  FT 2-2.  WELL DESERVED.

A very difficult Tournament but the boys gave their best and should be very proud of themselves, everybody played their part.

As for the rest of the weekend then with the sun shinning Bournemouth seafront was a great location for tea on Saturday  followed by both cricket and football on the beach with ice creams after, and a few beverages at the holiday park club in the evening(adults only),with outdoor swimming on sunday(heated pool)a competitive game of water polo and the tea outside on the grass area of our caravans with the boys then collecting their well earned medals from guest presenter Harry Redknapp.
All in all the boys had a really good time with everybody getting really well and the team spirit high even tough the football didn't go that well, big thanks to Richard Bradley who joined in with everything and Ian and Lynne(and me Mark) who also made the weekend a complete success.
